Microsoft holds up X-box 360 versions of MMOs

A few weeks ago Square Enix said that the reason there isn’t a 360 version of FFXIV yet is because  “…[the] 360 has its own policy with Xbox Live that is different from [the] internet, that’s something we’re in discussions with Microsoft, to come to an agreement. That’s one of the reasons it’s not going to be launched at that point.”

Cryptic’s CCO Jack Emmerit had a simular response about the 360 version of Champions Online. He said “Microsoft’s a big company, and they have to work out all the various issues related to MMOs…  It just takes time for the big beast known as Microsoft to get moving. I really have no explanation other than that, because it’s as baffling to developers as it is to everyone else.” The 360 version of Champions Online is complete but until everything is set by Microsoft players will have to wait till possibly next year or just go with the PC version which launches September 1st.
