Nintendo is always thinking about making a new Metroid Prime game, may be on DS/DSi

OfficialNintendoMagazine recently got up with Nintendo’s Kensuke Tanabe and asked about Metroid Prime series’ future and if Samus would ever return to the Nintendo DS.  Kensuke said “We are always planning to make new games in the Metroid Prime series. Depending on the timing and the situation, we cannot deny the possibility of realising it on DS or DSi.

I haven’t played much of the Metroid series so I can’t say how Metroid Prime Hunters compared to the rest, but I thought it wasn’t half bad. Would you want to see a new Metroid Prime game on the DS? or would you rather it continue on the consoles?

  1. I agree, Masa. One of the things I like about the 2D Metroid games is the side scrolling/platformer-like elements of the games. Although the Prime games are good, I’d rather see a more “tradional” Metroid game on the DS.
