Rumor: Banjo and Kazooie in the X-box 360 version of Sonic & SEGA All-stars Racing

A boxart for the X-box 360 version of Sonic & SEGA All-stars Racing popped up on Chris Lewis’ (Sega of Europe’s  Box art designer) personal website. On the back of the package it clearly depicts Meryl’s Codec number a picture of Banjo and Kazooie who would most likely race in the same kart.

Since then the box art has been pulled, so I would say that is  a pretty good sign that the duo may appear in the title.

This raises the question if the other versions of Sonic & SEGA All-stars Racing will feature console specific characters as well. Maybe we will see popular characters such as Raymond Bryce from Disaster Day of Crisis for the Wii version or the main character from Mole Mania for the Nintendo DS version.

You can check out the box art after the jump

Sonic & Sega Allstars Racing 360 leaked box

    1. I wouldn’t say it is completely shot down. I’m pretty sure Nintendo in the past has reused some of it’s art from one game to another with Mario. Also since if it wasn’t meant to be released it could have simply just been a place holder image for now.

I probably should have included this in the main post, but that Sega / Sony leak a few months ago Sega had mentioned the possibility of bringing Rare or Fable characters to the game. Idk why they showed up in the notes for a meeting with Sony, but they could have been discussing exclusive characters for PS3 since they knew they were shooting for a character on X-box 360.
