Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker details including multiplayer, plus screen shots and character renders

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker looks to be shaping up to be a great entry in series. But if you aren’t convinced on purchasing the game, Konami let out some more details about the title.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is taking a tip from its older brother Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops by allowing players to recruit felled adversaries on the field. Each of these units will have their own special attributes. Once recruited these soldiers will go to Snake’s “Mother Base” which you can see in the screen shots (28-31). The more soldiers at the base the more functions that will be at snakes disposal at the base. Some of the basic functions of the base is to store items snake has collected along his missions and upgrading his weapons.

While Snake make have a small army as his disposal, he will have to deal with new AI weapon enemies. These enemies are massive heavily armed unmanned vehicles, some of which can fly and hover. The AI weapons won’t only take on Snake but they will also talk and sing during battle using VOCALOID technology.

And last, but not least, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will have a multiplayer component using the PSP’s Ad-Hoc capabilities. The modes currently announced so far is four player co-op missions and 3vs3 battles. No other details were announced, but it was said that the multiplayer used in Metal Gear Solid Online was the building ground for the game.

PSP owners pick up Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker May 25th in North America and May 28th in Europe.
