SEGA interested in creating Shenmue III, fears low sales

Most people at this point have probably given up on Shenmue III, and that isn’t surprising considering the last game came out in 2001. But occasionally the die hard fanbase for the series forces SEGA to come out and comment on the title.

SEGA was asked in Famitsu about the chances of Shemue III and said that they often think about creating the title and would do so if the opportunity arises. Unfortunately now is not the time as the company doesn’t feel like the third title could pull off suitable sales.

This doesn’t really change anything, but it always nice to give Shenmue fans a nice pat on the back to let them know that one day Shenmue III might come out.
