Nintendo Download for Europe February 26th

Wii owners get their fair share of Dracula this week with Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth (1000 points) and Dracula: The Undead Awakening (1000 points). If you don’t feel like slaying the undead though, you may want to kick back with Reel FishingChallenge (500 points).

DSiWare gets Birds & Bombs (200 points), Zoo Frenzy (800 points), and some Electroplankton ports (200 points each).

No Virtual Console update this week either.

Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth (WiiWare: Konami, 1000 Wii Points is this week’s biggest release. It’s a remake of the old Game Boy game which sees you taking on Dracula’s legion of darkness and doom.

Dracula: The Undead Awakening (WiiWare: Chillingo, 1000 Wii Points) is a port of an iPhone game. It puts you in the shoes of a vampire huunter who has to battle legions of undead foes including zombies, ghouls and werewolves using weapons such as machine guns, buzz-saws and flamethrowers. It’s also available on DSiWare for 500 DSi Points.
Reel Fishing Challenge (WiiWare: Natsume, 500 Wii Points) is this week’s final WiiWare release. It’s a realistic fishing game which puts your angling skills to the test as you attempt to catch different types of fish in a mission mode. Or you can relax in free play mode.

Bird & Bombs (DSiWare: Intelligent Systems, 200 Points) is from the developers of games such as Paper Mario, Advance Wars and Fire Emblem. You play as a military bird and lob bombs into the mouths of ghosts.

Zoo Frenzy (DSiWare: Gameloft, 800 Points) is a zoo management game with a difference. Not only must you build and maintain your zoo but you also have to feed and play with your animals in mini-games in order to train them for when they are released into the wild.

Electroplankton Marine Crystals and Electroplankton Volvoice (DSiWare: Nintendo, 200 Points each) are two more musical games from the DS title that was originally released in 2006. Volvoice enables you to record up to eight seconds of sound which will be played back differently depending on the Volvoice’s shape. There are 35 Marine Crystals and they’ll make a sound when you tap them with the stylus.
