PC version of Alan Wake scrapped; handful of new screen shots

If you were hoping to play Alan Wake on PC then it might be time to make a change of plans. According to a Microsoft represenative the title is no longer heading to PC and will remain a 360 exclusive.

Some games are more suited for the intimacy of the PC, and others are best played from the couch in front of a larger TV screen,” he explained. “We ultimately realised that the most compelling way to experience “Alan Wake” was on the Xbox 360 platform, so we focused on making it an Xbox 360 exclusive. Both Microsoft and Remedy have long histories in PC game development. This decision was about matching this specific game to the right platform.

PC gamers have taken a double shot now as earlier this week we found out Dead Space 2 may not see a PC release. Hopefully this won’t be a trend among publishers.

Check out a handful of new screen shots from the Xbox 360 version of Alan Wake after the jump.
