Square-Enix Not Sure About Localizing Final Fantasy: Four Warriors of Light and Other DS Titles

Square-Enix just finished up localizing Final Fantasy XIII and future titles are bound to be on the way, but what about long over due titles like Final Fantasy Four Warriors of Light? Siliconera spoke with Yoichi Wada about these titles and the answer isn’t too encouraging.

Siliconera: Now, that Final Fantasy XIII is finished, there are a lot of other Square Enix Japan titles such as Blood of Bahamut, SaGa 2, Estpolis, and Four Warriors of Light… are any of these coming to North America?

Yoichi Wada: We released some of those titles already, but the sales figures weren’t very good. So, we’re not sure. We will continue to bring other Square Enix titles to the US market, that plan hasn’t been changed and we’re doing it already.

So there is still a chance, but it doesn’t look like any concrete plans have been made. I’m still crossing my fingers for Sigma Harmonics. I doubt we will ever see that though.

  1. Aw, c’mon Square. Hikari no 4 senshi was a game that I was really looking forward to. I suppose I can understand the financial reasons for not localizing, but it still makes me sad. Still hoping!
