Sony Launching First 3D PS3 Games This June; Free Games With Sony’s 3D TV

Sony will be launching the their 3D TV this June and with it they will be offering some free PlayStation 3 games.

When consumers purchase Sony’s Bravia HX800 launch model 3D TV, they will get Wipe Out HD, Super Stardust HD, the demo for Motor Storm: Pacific Rift, and three episodes of PAIN. Sony plans on launching more titles with 3D support in the future.

Unfortunately, no pricing details have been revealed on the TV. Chances are, it will probably put a nice dent in your wallet. You will also need to shell out some money for the 3D glasses as they aren’t included with the launch Bravia HX800 model.

As for the PlayStation 3, you will simply need to download a firmware update which will be available before the 3D TV’s launch.

    1. There are multiple 3D TV technologies out there. A few use a parallax barrier and don’t require glasses, but most of them still use active shutter glasses.

From what I see online, the HX800 uses active shutter glasses.
