Japanese PS3s Go 3D Starting June 10th; North America and Europe Following Shortly After

Ready to start doing some THREE DEE gaming? PlayStation 3 has you covered starting June 10th… if you live in Japan. Super Stardust and WipeOut will be two of the first titles to be available in 3D.  Free of charge too!

Another PSN title, Pain, will be receiving a 3D update as well, but it will cost you a few bucks.

Sony has said that both Europe and America will be hearing announcements “shortly.” My guess is E3. I’m not sure if the feature will be compatible with people who have Japanese PSN accounts. I’m sure all the details will be weeded out starting June 10th when it goes live.

Do you have a 3D TV yet, or plan on getting one soon?

  1. In my opinion 3D still needs work in the Movie Industry, a premature birth in the Gaming Industry is not wise, I have no intention on getting a 3D tv. I see it as gimmicky and frankly pointless.
