Nintendo Confirms Black Wii For North America; Wii Sports Resort Free With New Bundle

Nintendo has finally pushed out another color for the Wii. Now potential buyers can get their system in either white or black.

The new color also introduces a new bundle for both, so future Wii gamers will get some more bang for their buck upon purchase. The new bundle includes Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. A Nun-chuck will still be included, but now a Wii Motion + is also included. This new package is available in both black and white.

Despite the new additions, Nintendo won’t be raising the price. The system still sits at the $199.99 price point.

Unfortunately, I don’t think there is an easy way to move content from one system to another. Those looking to swap to a new color may have some trouble in bringing all their content over. Or worse comes to worse, they may have to leave content behind.

The new color and bundle will be launching May 9th.

  1. That’s awesome that they finally came out with a different colored Wii, but for those who loved the idea of black back when it was called the Revolution still, its actually a bit of a blow.
