Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII were no shows at E3. But Famitsu did get to sit down and talk about the titles with Tetsuya Nomura. While the details are minimal, they reveal more about the world maps for both games.
In Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the world map is a seamless open world – only segmented by loading times for new areas. To traverse these lands you use a car which is available to you at any time.
On the field monsters roam around. Engaging battles with them is also seamless (Maybe like Final Fantasy XII?). The title will even have destructible objects on the field.
In Final Fantasy Agito XIII you can traverse the world map with a Airship or Chocobo like in past titles. Yey!
And that’s it!
Well actually, there are some rather poor quality scans from the most recent issue of Famitsu. You can find those after the jump, but we will probably see some more solid scans soon. The environments remind me a lot of Fallout.
