Nintendo Download for Europe

Unfortunately due to exciting vacations times, I’ve missed out on DLC updates last few days. But Europeans, here is your Nintendo Download. But before we start talking this week, I want to point out that Final Fantasy II (800 points) hit the Virtual Console last week.  That’s the Japanese IV by the way.

I couldn’t find the pricing details for this week, so I’m using some guess work and the NA point costs for a couple of titles that I thought were worth looking into.

Anyways, this week there is some pretty nice stuff! Yet another fine Virtual Console update brings Europeans Mario Tennis (1,000 points) for the Nintendo 64. And on WiiWare you can find the excellent Blaster Master Overdrive (1,000 points), and Ant Nation.

DSiWare doesn’t have anything I particularly recognize, but you can find Face Pilot: Fly With Your Nintendo DSi Camera!, Pocket Pack Strategy Games, Combat of Giants: Mutant Insects – Revenge, and Telegraph Sudoku and Kakuro.

WiiWare
New, original games offering something for everyone!

BLASTER MASTER OVERDRIVE
BLASTER MASTER OVERDRIVE is an action-adventure game that takes place on an Earth infected by an aggressive, polymorphic virus that turns poor defenceless animals into flesh eating, haemoglobin swilling terrors. Things look grim but you still have S.O.P.H.I.A., a shape shifting, gas guzzling, projectile spewing weapon of destruction on four wheels. The world just might have a chance this time.

Ant Nation
The beloved childhood pastime of lazy Sundays spent with a magnifying glass and an ant farm finally arrives on WiiWare in its most mischievous form! You are in control of a small colony of Super Ants, which you must train through a devilishly fun toolset. Zap, torch, and manipulate your ants to make them tough enough to survive a variety of increasingly difficult challenges!
Virtual Console
Enjoy classic games from yesteryear on your Wii console!

Mario Tennis – Nintendo 64
One of the most addictively fun games on the Nintendo 64 is now on Virtual Console – Mario Tennis! Choose from 16 adorable Nintendo characters to play with and enjoy simple and intuitive controls that give you a realistic feel for tennis. The game sticks to the official rules and has several different modes – from the standard Tournament to the wacky Piranha Challenge. Whether trying to unlock all the secrets in single-player, or having friends over for some intense multiplayer fun, this is a game you won’t ever want to put down!

Simply tilt your head sideways to steer left and right, back to climb, and forwards to dive. The only thing missing is the wind in your hair!

Pocket Pack Strategy Games
“Pocket Pack: Strategy Games” is a collection of classic strategy games, featuring: “Checkers”, “Reversi”, “Gomoku”, “Chinese Checkers”, and “Nine Men’s Morris”. Play against AI opponents, or against friends via wireless communication and DS Download Play. Win the game trophies which are shared across all of the “Pocket Pack” series.

Combat of Giants: Mutant Insects – Revenge
After you defeated the Mutant King, the Mutant Queen created a new land from the core of the Earth where she controls the other giant insects at her will. Complete 10 new missions, fight your enemies and liberate the Scorpion Champion in order to defeat the Queen. Customise your giant insect, equip it with special powers and enhance your abilities then challenge your friends to duels!
