Pre-E3 Spike TV trailer round up

Spike TV had a Pre-E3 spectacular full of announcements on 6/11/2010. Other than being a giant cheese fest full of super models and model made young hosts it revealed and showed of a lot of gameplay we haven’t seen before.

Scott Pilgrim VS The World

This game is looking very interesting taking on a 16 beat-em-up approach and being what appears very faithful to the comic books. All the characters have different move sets and specials and it takes you through all of the comic. The style fits the comic very well and it could be one of the best beat-em-ups in a long while. The game will feature unlockable special characters and levels.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: Armada of the Damned

This game looks very interesting. It’s an action RPG set in the Pirates universe. Very open looking with various moral choices and your character and ship change based on your morality.

Fallout New Vegas

This sequel to the fantastic open world RPG reboot of the classic franchise is set to be very interesting. The game is being headed up by Obsidian. Many of the current employees of Obsidian also worked on the original 2 and many other classic PC RPG’s. Recently they have been known for working on sequels to other peoples RPG’s. They are often praised for their ambitious ideas and fantastic choice and talking systems.

Killzone 3

This is the latest entry in the Sony published first person shooter. The game looks to continue the first’s incredible graphics and first person cover system. The game is also adding a cover system and will be one of the first games to be in 3D.

Gran Turismo 5

This is the long awaited 5th entry in the simulation racing series Gran Turismo. The game has been in development since the launch of the PS3 and looks gorgeous. It seems like a very long wait for the game considering that Forza 3 has been out for quite a while, but, I am sure racing fans will be ecstatic to get their hands on it.

Deadspace 2

This is the sequel to the action horror game that is very reminiscent of Alien’s. The original game involved Issac Clarke, an engineer, going around an abandoned mining ship full of alien’s called Necromorphs. The shooting is unique in that it requires you to shoot of the limbs of the monsters rather than going straight for the headshot. It can require careful use of your stasis power which slows down your enemies to manage them at times.

Force Unleashed II

The original game put you in the shoes of Darth Vader’s apprentice. It allows you to throw storm trooper around like ragdolls and generally destroy everything as a Jedi.

The second game has you playing a clone of the first games character as far as I can tell.
