Sony must really want to push the PSP. They are making games cheaper, making cheaper games cheaper, and giving free games away to new PSPGo users. If you live in North America, keep on reading. If you live in Europe, scroll down to the last paragraph.
In North America, more titles are hitting the greatest hits line of titles. Little Big Planet (PSP), Resistance: Retribution, Secret Agent Clank, and Gran Turismo now hold the $19.99 price tag.
Twenty bucks still too much for you? Older greatest hits titles are now getting even cheaper. Ape Escape: On the Loose, Buzz! Master Quiz, Hot Shots Golf Open Tee, LocoRoco 2, Patapon 2, PixelJunk Monster Delux, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo, Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow, Twisted Metal: Head On, Justice League Heroes, Manhunt 2, Pinball Hall of Fame: Willians Collection, Silent Hill: Origins, Sims 2, The Warriors, and more will all now be at the $9.99 price tag.
But what if you still don’t have a PSP, or are tired of those silly old UMDs just lying around in your face? If you buy a PSPGo, starting today through March 31st 2011, you will get three free titles. LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, and SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 are the titles currently available, but it sounds like more titles may be available for choosing later on.
Europe, you start here. No price drops for Europe unfortunately, but if you bought a PSPGo, on or after April 1st, you will get 10 free games. The games you will receive are Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Gran Turismo, James Cameron’s Avatar, Little Big Planet, MotorStorm Artic Edge, Need for Speed Shift, Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice, 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, and WipEout Pure. If you don’t have a PSPGo yet, you need to buy one by September 30th to be eligible for the 10 free games.
