SEGA says Saturn Ports Can Happen

Dreamcast games are starting to slide into the download space. After the titles hit, the only major SEGA home console that won’t have its library available via digital download is the SEGA Saturn. So what are the chances of it happening? EEEEEEH, kind of maybe?

When it comes to the whole world, Genesis and Dreamcast are famous, Saturn is unknown,” said Yusuke Okunari.

But Okunari said its not entirely out of the question, but it seems fan feedback seems may be a big part of whether or not it will happen. “We are thinking about ports of Saturn titles. It’s the same as how Sega Ages and Virtual Console were existed separately. It’s not that we have no plans of Saturn ports, please share your requests.

I’ve always wanted to play a lot of games in the SEGA Saturn library. I have yet to be able to yet though, thanks to the lack of a SEGA Saturn. But if they did come to 360 or PS3, I’d definitely grab Burning Rangers and Nights.

Are there any SEGA Saturn titles you would pick up on the newer consoles?

  1. I’d love for Panzer Dragoon Saga to be ported, however due to the source code being lost by Team Andromeda after they disbanded, it looks unlikely to happen. Sad face.
