CAVE announces new titles for Xbox 360

CAVE’s annual Shmup fest came to a close yesterday as the danmaku masters themselves announced that three of their most popular titles would be released for the 360 console.

The first 360 game shown at the event is the port of DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu Version 1.5 which is the fourth game in the DonPachi series not to be confused with DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu iPhone that is the fifth game in the series which is to be released on the Iphone (who would have thought).

The second 360 game announced is a port of both Pink Sweets and Muchi Muchi Pork on one disc. This is particulary interesting as they are both considered to be some of CAVE’s most imagniative and fun titles and they are both deserving of a wider recognition. The title is said to be announced for Spring 2011 and hopefully, region free along with DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu iPhone

Amoung the other announcements were that Guwange, the game confirmed for XBLA about a third of a month ago was playable at the event and has been confirmed for a late September/early October release, Feveron which is one of CAVE’s only games not to see a home console release after the initial arcade release has been confirmed to get a home console port 13 years after it’s original release. Better late than never I guess.

The last interesting piece of news is that Radio Allegy, a Shmup that was released on the Ultimate Shooting Collection for the Wii (and surprisingly got a US release) is getting a sequel called Radio Allegy Noah which should be released in Japan October 28th.

  1. I’ll be getting DoDonPatch daifukastu iphone or whatever it’s called on my ipod when it comes out.
I dun got a 360 though so not as much cave for me.
I do wonder why they release so much stuff on 360 and not PS3 considering the main audience.
And the fact the 360 D-pad is about as responsive as a bottle top with a cross drawn on it.

    1. PS3 games tend to cost a lot more to develop than 360 & Wii games. They also tend to be harder to develop hence people prefer working for the other consoles.

And I have Mushihime & Espgaluda II and the contro; stick works just fine.

And thanks to everyone else congratulating me on my work.

And yes Masa, everyone needs more bullet hell in their life.
