Irrational Games Announces Bioshock Infinite

When I first heard that Irrational’s new game was called Bioshock Infinite, my dissapointment was palpable. That was until I saw the trailer. Before I say anything about it’s release I want you to see the trailer after the jump.

As you have now seen Bioshock Infinite is definitely taking the francise into new places by setting the game in 1912 on a floating city. You play a disgraced agent who has been sent to rescue a girl named Elizabeth from the floating city of Columbia. The city seems to be riddled with Pro – American posters and flags. The city itself takes on a much more southern American look rather than Bioshock’s underwater take on the dark Art Deco of the 40’s. The game is currently set for a 2012 release and there are also several screenshots to look at underneath this paragraph.
