El Shaddai playable at Tokyo Game Show

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, a game based of the tales in The Book of Enoch which is an ancient Christian scripture about how Enoch (grandson of Adam) survived gods wrath on te towns of Sodom and Gommorah, will be playable at Tokyo Game Show which takes place from September 16th to September 19th. El Shaddai (meaning God Almighty) is a game created by Sawaki Takeyasu, one of the previous developers of Clover Studios who created his own company instead of jumping ship to Platinum games during the closure of the company. Not much is known about the game other than it’s unique art style, Simple gameplay as Sawaki believes that modern day action games have become too complicated in their execution (I kinda agree) and it’s interesting subject matter however more should be known after the event. Previous trailers of the game can be viewed after the jump.

  1. The Guilty Gear and Mark of the Wolves fan says that action games have become too complicated? 😛

Anyway, I’m definitely looking forward to this title, just based on the art style alone.
