Super Mario All-Stars for Wii..?

Nintendo has leaked that they are planning to produce a special edition Super Mario All-Stars for the Wii! I’m excited already.

Back in 1993, All-Stars was released for SNES, containing graphically updated versions of the NES games: Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels. I’m pretty sure everyone loved these games back in the day so will bringing them out for the Wii be amazing or disappointing..?

The special edition bundle will include: a soundtrack CD containing tracks from the whole franchise and a booklet about the history of Mario.

Reports say that this will be released in Japan on October 21 for 2,500 yen, around $23 or £19. Although, do note that this game has not been confirmed for international release, only for Japan so far. Even though this wasnt confirmed, other release dates for games such as Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Golden Sun were confirmed in the same briefing. So fingers crossed this will be released internationally too!

  1. So wait, is this supposed to be an actual Wii remake or just an SNES port? I really hope it’s the former. I was playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii and I thought the engine would be awesome for the original Super Mario games.

I just hope they don’t change the music in these games to the NSMB music.
