X-Men Arcade Heading to XBLA and PSN

The original X-Men arcade classic is heading to your home console. The title was released in 1992 and was developed by Konami. Finally, licensing issues have cleared up, and now we will be able to enjoy the game in the comfort of our home.

For the most part, the original game is intact with all six original playable characters. The only change to the original game is the fact that the voice acting had to be rerecorded, but Konami has decided to keep the same cheesy lines from the poor translation, like the infamous “Welcome to die!”

X-Men will be getting some new additions though, like online support for up to six players and leader boards. Players will also be given a variety of difficulties to choose from that increase the amount of on-screen units. The title will also include the Japanese version, which has a few changes from the Western release.

Currently, Konami is shooting for a December release, although Konami said to take that date lightly in-case any issues arise during development.
