Keep your Final Fantasy XIII Save Data

Did you beat Final Fantasy XIII? Don’t delete that save data! Square-Enix advises fans to not delete the data as it will play some part in Final Fantasy XIII-2. Exactly what, they did not explain.

I haven’t picked up Final Fantasy XIII yet, but I still kind of want to. Most people I hear talk about it often say they haven’t beaten the title for one reason or another. It will be interesting to see how the title performs on the market considering that XIII didn’t exactly get the best reception.

    1. Maybe it’s something like in ToS2, where you were given extra items at the beginning of the game if you had a Gamecube memory card with a cleared ToS1 file on it?

  1. The plan is that there’s going to be one super powerful weapon in the game. If you don’t have a FFXIII save file by the time you start FFXIII-2, you won’t be able to get said weapon…ever…even if you get a XIII save file then start over in XIII-2.
