Vietnam Bans Online Gaming After 10 PM

Do you ever get annoyed when your parents tell you to stop playing video games and go to bed? Well if you think you have it bad, the people over in Vietnam have got you beat.

In an effort to “mitigate the side effects of online games.”, the Ministry of Information and Commnication in Vietnam has banned the use of online video games from 10 PM to 8 AM every night. They have asked all internet providers to block all online gaming between these times. Those ISP’s that don’t comply will be shut down by the government.

It seems a bit harsh, but unfortunately, there isn’t much we can do about it. There’s an estimated 23 million people in Vietnam that use the internet, and they will just have to play their online games during the day. 🙁
