You know what’s great? Day 8! Yes, it’s Day #8 of Obligatory Ice Level Day, the made-up holiday all about ice levels! We’re counting down to the Mario marathon on December 14th, when we’ll be raising money for the Make A Wish Foundation! Tune in for some awesome games and sweet prizes, like handmade wooden item blocks and a Wii U Deluxe! December has been described as “the most wonderful time of the year.” People are happy and families spend time together. And what bond could be more touching than the one shared between a Big Daddy and a Little Sister? Yeah, that’s right, today’s ice level is the Frozen Tunnel, from Bioshock!
I don’t get to talk all that much about downloadable content, but I shall make an exception for today with BioShock 2‘s Rapture Metro Pack!
If you haven’t played BioShock 2 recently, the Rapture Metro Pack add-on content may be exactly what you need to bring you back to the title.
The DLC will offer six new multiplayer maps, three new achievements/trophies to earn, and a rebirth feature which allows level 50 players to jump back to level 1 in exchange for a special mask.
You will be able to grab the DLC for 800 MS points on XBLA and Games for Windows Live April 29th. You will also be able to find the content on PSN sometime soon.
More importantly, Splicer 26 rules! Check out that awesome robe.
Update: The post actually confirmed a delay for the downloadable content as well. Sorry about that.

A bit of a slowpoke on this one, but 2k Games, creators of BioShock, has announced that they will be reviving the classic PC tactical series XCOM.
2K Games plans on taking the series in a new direction for its revival. While the title will still have a heavy focus on tactical strategy that the series is known for, the title will also have First Person Shooter elements as well.
Not much else is known other then that the title will be heading to Xbox 360 and PC. Keep an eye out for new details in the future.

In the past, 2k games has shown interest in developing a MMO before. But according to Destructoid, a inside source gave them a heads up that the company may finally be going through with those plans. Specifically, a MMO within the BioShock franchise.
Destructoid themselves didn’t seem to have too much confidence in their source, so it would probably be wise to take this rumor very lightly.
The sequel to BioShock 2 is only a few months away and as with any major release there will be a Special Edition to give fans a bit of swag. Special Edition will contain a 13″ x 13″ premium package with special art on both sides of the slip case and the box cover, a copy of Bio Shock 2, a CD containing BioShock 2’s orchestral score, a cynl 180g LP (I think its a record) featuring the orchestral score of the original BioShock, a 164 page 8″ x 11″ hardbound art book with developer commentary, and last but not least, three posters of vintage ads from Rapture.
The package will cost $99.99 USD on both the X-box 360 and PlayStation 3 while the PC version will only cost $89.99 USD. You can get your hands on these special editions when the game releases on February 9th.

BioShock 2‘s single player is definitely looking impressive, and to top it off the title will have multiplayer as well. Hopefully the multiplayer can stand out enough to build a user base.
BioShock 2 has a worldwide release of February 9th for PlayStation 3, X-box 360, and PC.
