Owners of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift for the PS3 or 360 can get the 1.03 patch for the game game that makes the game more like it’s arcade update: BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II. BBCSII was originally included as an update to the arcade that game the game three new characters: Makato, Valkyhern and Platinum (The former two are avaliable on the console version through DLC while the latter will be released on the game say as the patch for $7.99 or alternativly 560MSP points) as well as providing better balance between characters which should shake up the official tier lists for a while. As well as making the game closer to the new arcade setting, more achievements/trophys will be added for Platinum, the ranked match interface will recieve a do-over, online play will be enhanced as well as fixing various bugs in the previous edition of the game. It hasn’t been confirmed when abouts in May the patch will be released however for those interested in more BlazBlue, Continuum Shift II will recieve an NA release for the 3DS and PSP on May 31st (In the meantime, Arcana Heart 3 comes out on PSN today!).
With the Guilty Gear X BlazBlue music concert taking place a couple of weeks ago and Aksys to port BlazBlue to every system known to man (I’m waiting for my Sega Master system version personally), It’s nice to see BB getting the attention it deserves. Either way, along with the official 3DS boxart which you can see to your left, Arc Sytem Works released a neat little trailer for the portable iterations. The trailer in question can be viewe after the jump (1:18 is particulary interesting.

See what I did there? Guilty Gear’s Spiritual Sequel’s updated Sequel will be released for the PSP on March 31st according to the gaming retail company Gamestar. The game will contain 18 characters which include Hazama who is freshly nerfed in this iteration along with Slayer (Valkenhyrn), a Furry (Makato) and whatever the hell Platinum the Trinity is. Along with the full roster that includes the DLC characters (Valkenhyrn and Makato are on sale for any US PSN users (Sale doesn’t apply to UK PSN thanks to the trolls at Aksys who hold a Guilty Gear X BlazBlue music conert and don’t send me a private invitation)), The game will include full voice acting and brand new scenarios for each of the characters.
With the release of Calamity Trigger on the PSP, Arc Systems are following it up with the announcement of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II for the PSP. CSII was recently released in the arcades which is an updated version of CS with gameplay and balancing tweaks along with Makoto, Platinum and Valkenhyrn added as additional characters. The game contains *cough*Talesofthe*cough* Abyss mode and a 4 player mode which works like a mini tournament mode. In addition to this, Arc System Works are holding a Guilty Gar X BlazBlue rock concert displaying live versions of song from both games for anyone lucky enough to go. The Concert will take place on the 22nd of January so if anyone’s willing to buy me a plane ticket to Japan, I’ll be most greatful (Return ticket not needed).

The DSiWare arena fighter, BlazBlue Battle X Battle is coming to North America under the name BlayzeBloo: Super Melee Brawlers.
The game, while still a fighter, is drastically different from the complex 2D fighter known by fans. Chibi style BlazBlue characters battle it out in an arena with simple controls and includes a handful of modes including capture the flag, last man standing, and a noodle collecting mode.
No set release window was given, but you can probably expect it sometime in the near future.
