Goldeneye 007: Reloaded Announced For 360/PS3

Yep, the next HD remake has come in the shape of Goldeneye 007: Reloaded, announced by Activision to be released in Fall/Autumn 2011.

It’s the Wii remake, however it’s been given a new engine to power up the HD visuals, as well as a brand  new mode called “Mi6 Ops Missions” that sees the player undergo various missions with either Assault, Defence, Elimination and tealth-based objectives. If that wasn’t enough, four-player split-screen is also available as well as sixteen player online.

While it does seem a bit early to be releasing this soon after it was released for the Wii, would it not have been prudent to release it as the same time as the Wii game, allowing for everyone to play?

Activision Registers GoldenEye 007 Reloaded Domain Names

If you thought last years DS and Wii release of GoldenEye would be your last chance at seeing the GoldenEye name again, you may want to think again. Activion has registered four domain names for a game that would seemed to be titled GoldenEye 007 Reloaded. The domains include GoldenEyeReloadedGame.com, GoldenEye007GameReloaded.com, GoldenEyeReloaded007.com, and GoldenEye007Reloaded.com.

What is GoldenEye 007 Reloaded? Only Activision knows. It could be a port or maybe a new game all together. Last years release of GoldenEye 007 on the Wii, while not perfect, was received quite well. The DS title, unfortunately, didn’t fair as well.

If we do see a new title based on the GoldenEye name, hopefully at the very least, it will be better than GoldenEye: Rogue Agent.

New Goldeneye Trailer Brings Multiplayer “Back to Its Roots”

A new trailer was released for Goldeneye 007, a port of the outstanding FPS from the days of the N64. We see a lot of new maps and game modes, as well as the return of many classics that will be sure to give you your daily does of nostalgia. Personally, I would’ve enjoyed a full remake rather than an enhanced port, but I’ll still check it out. You can check out the trailer after the jump.

Resume reveals “GoldenEye 2010” for Wii

A resume for a man named Craig Peck poped up and within it included a intresting project he was working on while at Eurocom. The section from his resume can be seen below

Animator – GoldenEye 2010 (Wii)
Animator on Activision’s James Bond series for the Nintendo Wii assisting in: Key frame animation, the preparation and clean-up of motion capture data, prop animation, in-game cut-scene animation, scene layout, and camera animation.

It is kind of hard to say exactly what it is. Considering all the legal issues surrounding the original GoldenEye for the 64, there is a good chance this could be a completely different title. Also there is a chance that the title could be multiplatform and Mr. Peck was just working on the Wii version.

What ever it turns out to be, let’shopefully its better then GoldenEye: Rogue Agent which was released quite some time ago.
