Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing launch trailer

I’m going to try to keep up more with launch trailers of some titles, so you get an idea when they come out rather then just a date and when news stops flowing about the title. Ideally I’d like to make a release list per month. We’ll see if I can get around to that.

Sega All-Stars Racing is launching today in North America (hence it being a launch trailer) on PC, Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360. Europeans can grab the title on February 26th.

Nintendo announces new Wii Remote colors and multiple 1st and 3rd party game release dates for North America

Nintendo of America announced today that they will releasing two new colors for their Wii Remotes. The two new colors will be Blue and Pink and will be packaged with Wiimotion+ accessories. The press release didn’t mention the price of the controller set, but we could probably assume it is the same as the black Wii Remote and Wii Motion plus combo which is $49.99. The controllers will be available February 14th.

Aside from new colors Nintendo also announced the release dates for multiple titles set for 2010. Endless Ocean: Blue World will be coming out February 22nd, Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver will be hitting store shelves March 14th, and Warioware D.I.Y. will be coming to DS on March 28th. The press release also reconfirms Glory of Hercales for January 18th.

As for third party titles Nintendo adds some insight into some third party releases as well. The only new solid dates I noticed were The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces on January 5th and Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon for March 12th both of which are from XSeed games.

Some other games just got general release dates. The most notable being Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing for March, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle for late January, and Sonic Classic Collections for Spring.

Nintendo also released a release list for all titles heading to Wii and DS. You can check it out after the jump.

Rumor: Banjo and Kazooie in the X-box 360 version of Sonic & SEGA All-stars Racing

A boxart for the X-box 360 version of Sonic & SEGA All-stars Racing popped up on Chris Lewis’ (Sega of Europe’s  Box art designer) personal website. On the back of the package it clearly depicts Meryl’s Codec number a picture of Banjo and Kazooie who would most likely race in the same kart.

Since then the box art has been pulled, so I would say that is  a pretty good sign that the duo may appear in the title.

This raises the question if the other versions of Sonic & SEGA All-stars Racing will feature console specific characters as well. Maybe we will see popular characters such as Raymond Bryce from Disaster Day of Crisis for the Wii version or the main character from Mole Mania for the Nintendo DS version.

Ryo Hazuki returns… In Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing

Ryo being in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing may not be exactly how you wanted to see him  return, but  its nice to see Ryo finally seeing a appearance after being absent for almost 8 years now. As you can see in the trailer, Ryo Hazuki rides his motor cycle and uses a fork lift for his All-Star move.

It’s a pretty interesting addition, I don’t think it will lead to Shenmue III or anything but it’s nice to know Sega hasn’t completely forgot about the character.  Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is coming to PS3, 360, Wii, DS and PC on February 10th 2010.
