Splinter Cell Conviction Set for April 16th in Europe

The release of Splinter Cell Conviction is right around the corner. On April 16th the title will be available in European retailers.

The North American release date for Splinter Cell: Conviction is April 13th. Ubisoft was so confident in the date that they actually sent IGN a stone with the date engraved in it.

There will also be a Xbox 360 bundle available in North America, Europe, New Zealand and Australia.

Splinter Cell: Conviction grabs a bundle with 250GB Xbox 360

It seems like bundling a game with a console has been pretty popular lately happening with almost every major release having one.

As with all of these other fairly generic bundles, you will grab yourself two wireless Xbox 360 controllers along with a Xbox 360 with a 250 GB harddrive. Then add a standard copy of Splinter Cell: Conviction and you have yourself a bundle.

The bundle will be available not only in North America, but Europe, Australia and New Zealand. They only put a price on the U.S. bundle though, which is $399.99. You can find it on store shelves early this April.

You can also pick up the game itself on PC.

Splinter Cell Conviction dated again

Splinter Cell: Conviction was delayed awhile back, but now Ubisoft has set on a new date for Splinter Cell: Conviction: April 13th 2010 on both Xbox 360 and PC.

Ubisoft is so confident it will hit that date they actually sent IGN a rock with the date in it to imply the date is set in stone. Let’s just hope nothing unexpected happens that delays the game like shipping errors or manufacturing errors. Then the date on the rock would be useless.

Splinter Cell: Conviction gets 2 players split screen

Splinter Cell: Conviction will be grabbing a local split screen multiplayer mode it seems. The single screen shot that was released can be seen after the jump. The caption that came with the screenshot says “Co-op mode split screen confirmed!” The game also includes online co-op as well.

Surprisingly, it seems that the game is going to keep most of it’s visual flair in the local multiplayer based off the single screenshot. We will have to wait and see some footage to see the multiplayer can keep up a steady frame rate.

You can pick up Splinter Cell: Conviction February 23rd in North America and February 26th in Europe for the X-box 360 and PC.
