Take-Two Continuing to Bet On Duke

At this point, it’s no secret that a lot of sites aren’t taking well to the latest release in Duke Nukem. And while we think the game is alright, many think the game is just downright ugly, mean, and dated. Despite the bad reception, Take-Two still has faith in their over the top 90’s action hero.

We don’t really talk about it in detail but you will see future Duke IP coming from this company,” said Strauss Zelnik president of Take-Two  Interactive. “Part of it is the economic opportunities that interact with entertainment are so huge. Part of it is that we are very creative folks in control. Part of it is we don’t want to ever be in the position of dumping something down just to make another buck.

Duke Nukem Forever Delayed… Again

I don’t even know how many times Duke Nukem Forever has been delayed, canceled, and revived at this point. And while the title is getting delayed again, thankfully fans won’t have to wait too long… Unless, of course we see another delay.

Duke fans will now have to wait until June 10th to pick up the title internationally. North Americans have to wait until the 14th.  The title was originally slated to hit stores shelves in May.

2k games president, Christoph Hartmann commented on the delay. “In case you haven’t heard, Duke never comes early. We’re committed to deliver a laugh-out-loud, politically incorrect experience that people will talk about for years to come. We thank Duke’s fans for their continued patience – I promise this won’t take another 15 years.

If the title launches in June, you might want to splurge a little in celebration of the game’s release. Duke Nukem Forever will feature a Balls of Steel edition that includes an art book, comic book, Duke Nukem dice, and more. It even features a bust of Duke Nukem! I’d pay $99 just for the bust and the game!
