Enjoy Ys Seven? Good! Great! Fun! In early November you will want to take a break from enjoying Ys Seven to enjoy yourself another Ys title on the PSP, The Oath in Felghana.
The title is a remake of the third game in the series, which has seen a few localizations already. The title will be launching with a collector’s edition, complete with a soundtrack and a desktop calender. The collector’s edition is set for a $39.99 price point, while the standard edition is set for $29.99.
You can take a glance at the collector’s edition after the jump.

XSeed Games has been localizing Falcom’s back catalog of PSP titles, including Ys I&II Chronicles, Ys: The Oath in Felghana(Ys III), and Ys Seven. Aside from Ys Seven, versions of these games had been previously localized at some point in North America. Ys IV and V, on the other hand, have not.
A fan asked Xseed on their Facebook page if they had any plans on localizing these two titles. A random representative of Xseed replied, “If Falcom were to make IV and V available to us then we would love to work on them.”
To my knowledge, or rather Wikipedia’s knowledge, the most recent consoles these titles have been released on is the PlayStation 2. So a simple localization of the titles may not be possible at this point.
We will have to see if both Xseed and Falcom will be able to come up with some sort of agreement and plan for releasing the titles.
The half-minute hero returns in a true sequel to the 2009 PlayStation Portable exclusive, Half-Minute Hero. While the title has been announced, little details have released.
Previously there was a spiritual sequel that also hit the PlayStation Portable, but it never released outside of Japan. Hopefully, XSeed Games and Rising Star Games, the publishers of the original title outside of Japan, will pick this one up for localization.
Falcom’s PlayStation Portable exclusive Ys Seven suddenly received a release date from XSeed Games. The North American publisher announced that the title will be launching August 17th – only two weeks away.
The title is the first in a series of PSP Ys releases that Xseed Games will be localizing. The other two titles, Ys I & II Chronicles and Ys: Oath in Felghan, will be launching later this year and in early 2011.
Ys Seven’s North American release also boasts a fanciful collector’s edition. There are no plans for a retail release of Ys titles in Europe, but the titles will be available via digital download on PlayStation Network in the future.
Europe won’t be lucky enough to get physical copies of Falcom’s PSP titles Ys SEVEN, Ys: Oath of in Felghana, or Ys I & II Chronicles, but they will be available via digital download through PlayStation Network.
The European release of the titles will happen shortly after the North American release. There is still a chance for UMD releases, but XSeed, the publisher behind the titles in North America, says it’s “unlikely.” Xseed is a North American exclusive publisher, so this is about all they can do for Europe. Hopefully a European publisher will swoop in last minute and make physical copies.
Also worth noting, there is a new trailer for Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki, which you can check out after the jump. The title is also on PSP, but hasn’t been announced for localization yet. Xseed games said that the localization of the title depends on the sales of the PSP Ys titles coming out this year and next early year.

XSEED has announced that they will be localizing the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii title Ivy the Kiwi? this Summer.
Ivy the Kiwi? is similar to Kirby Canvas Curse. Players draw vines to direct Ivy through mazes. Players can swing the vines around to launch the Ivy or raise ivy to higher platforms. You can check out some japanese gameplay videos for both the DS and Wii version after the jump.
Ivy the Kiwi? is developed by PROPE which is headed by Yuji Naka who is most famous for the Sonic series. So far, the only titles PROPE has developed outside Ivy the Kiwi? is Let’s Tap, Let’s Catch, and a handful of iPhone titles.
More then often, soon after XSEED picks up a title for North America Rising Star Games will pick it up for Europe. So Europeans, keep your eyes peeled.

XSeed Games fought hard to get Fragile Dreams over here in the west and it will be a shame if it completely bombs. I’m crossing my fingers hoping that it does at least somewhat well.
If you aren’t too happy with the English voice acting, the title also features the Japanese voice track.
Fragile Dreams is hitting North America March 16th and Europe March 19th exclusively on Wii.
