Square-Enix had originally planned to show off some more of Final Fantasy Versus XIII at E3, but it seems those plans might not be fulfilled.
According to a interview in Famitsu with Tetsuya Nomura the reason it may not be ready for E3 is changes in the game’s overworld.
“For displaying characters on the world map, we were originally planning on using the method used by FF#, with a small Noctus running about on the screen. But that didn’t look too great, so we ended up switching to the method used by FF#.“
The reason for “FF#” is that Famitsu had to censor which games he was talking about, but I would assume by the ” a small Noctus running around” means that it would probably be similar to something seen in the older Final Fantasy games.
