While Capcom’s current line-up features a lot of Street Fighter and Resident Evil, they do have a couple of new titles. Asura’s Wrath has been announced for awhile, along with the more recently announced Dragon’s Dogma. But it won’t be ending there.
Capcom’s David Reeves detailed exactly what their current strategy is to MCV. “The strategy going forward is for those two franchises [Street Fighter and Resident Evil] to form the basis of the portfolio,” he said. But fans can expects more than just flying fists and zombies from Capcom over the next couple of years. “We’ve already announced Asura’s Wrath and Dragon’s Dogma, and there will be at least one more original title from us that will come out next year.”
Dragon’s Dogma is Capcom’s most recently announced new IP. The title is an open world action game. The title has a heavy focus on combat, with small details like the length of your legs and weight of the sword and armor effecting combat.
Dragon’s Dogma is also due out 2012 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
