The NGP is on the way, but the PSP is far from dead. Over the last few months, titles like Parasite Eve The 3rd Birthday, Gods Eater Burst, Tactics Ogre, and Final Fantasy Dissidia Duodecim prove that the handheld still has some life in it. But now Sony Europe is giving you even more of a reason to pick it up: a price drop!
In all European regions except for the UK, the SRRP for the PSP will now be €129.99, a reduction from the previous €169.99. SCE UK commented on the lack of a price drop saying, “Since we in the UK are vulnerable to two exchange rate calculations, pounds into euro and euro into yen, we are not in a position to offer a similar cut in PSP for the UK.”
The PSP, while not entirely popular in the western regions throughout most its life, has quite the software library now. With the NGP lacking the ability to play UMD based games, it might still be worth picking one up.
