Sonic 4: Episode 2 Confirmed To Be Released Soon

Takashi Iizuka has revealed that the long known about Episode 2 of Sonic 4 is in the works. While the long term Sonic Team member never gave a release date, he admitted we would see release in “the near future”

Talking to Siliconera, he  revealed the third Sonic game due to be released in the next year alongside The London Olympics with Mario and Generations after it made a no-show at E3. When asked on the future of the project, he answered “We named Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, so there will be an episode 2. Since this year is the 20th anniversary of Sonic we wanted to focus on Sonic Generations,

S4: E1 was a welcome return to the 2D style that seems to be refined in Generations if the gameplay videos for Retro Sonic are any indication. Thankfully, they aren’t doing a Valve and remembering the reasons behind episodic content is to actually release it.

  1. Episode 1 was a good game. So was Colors. Wait a sec.. “leaned?”

Anyway, I hope that pic is legit. I was pretty sure Tails would be in the game,so it’d be disappointing if that’s fake.
