Hello everyone! It’s that time again! Time to bust out the pixellated sleds, learn that ice magic, and run from frost monsters. Time to see how closely chiptunes can resemble sleigh bells. Time to see how many snowflakes you can fit on the screen. It’s time for OBLIGATORY ICE LEVEL DAY!
“WHAT IS OBLIGATORY ICE LEVEL DAY?”
It’s a completely fake holiday, created as a joke, meant to celebrate ice levels from different games. For 10 days, I’ll post a different level, complete with a screenshot, write-ups, a wallpaper, and links to all sorts of great music.
“WAIT, SO IT’S MORE THAN ONE DAY? EHHH??”
Yep, doesn’t really make any sense!
“SOUNDS… WEIRD, BUT WHATEVER. CAN I JOIN IN?”
Sure! Just link to the posts here if you want. But you don’t even have to do that! If you simply enjoy these posts, go out and do something to make someone else happy. It’s all in good fun!
Every year, my ice level wallpapers tend to have a lot of… blank space. Which makes sense since a lot of these levels have a lot of white in them. But white snow, white clouds, white ice, even white sky? It can get a little boring. So this year I went with the theme of COLORS. A few of the wallpapers have that classic light look, but this time I tried to put in unexpected color schemes into most of the wallpapers.
“OH SO YOU PUT A LOT OF COLORS INTO A THING. HOW SHOCKING.”
I’m a one-trick pony and all my art looks the same, what can I say!
