Final Fantasy XIII-2 Review

30 hour-long tutorial, linear gameplay – it’s safe to say Final Fantasy XIII isn’t going to be fondly remembered by most. Square Enix took the criticism it was force-fed and hid until they produced a sequel. Did they listen to the harsh criticisms, or will they stand stubborn in the face of adversity? Let’s find out.. Dungeon Defenders Review

Tower defense games are usually the same – you build a lot of towers, and stand back and pray that they kill all the enemies. Now, thanks to Dungeon Defenders, you rely on those towers no more as you fight alongside them in multiplayer combat! Jump in as we examine what makes this game tick.

Why I Hate: Skylanders

We were all once kids. In fact some of us still are, so we remember fondly looking for the newest action figure, dolly or toy we could get our hands on to bolster our collection – sometimes we only had one or two, but our imagination let them be the rest of the possible collection that we were unable to get. Why am I talking about this? Simple, today’s equivalent of this  – Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure is something I feel like tearing into, so stand back and watch as I do so.

Wheel of Morality Needing Change?

The fabled Wheel of Morality – becoming more and more prevalent in recent years – is a staple of the choose your story scenario where you, the player, must become a paragon of righteousness or a renegade of destruction. An interesting feature, but it is one I’ve become bored with recently, as I will mention as I plunge into the never grey waters of gaming morality.

Gaming Retailers vs. Inattentive Parents

In my line of work, my main responsibility is printing photos, however, half of the time I am also required to keep an eye on the game section of the store. It amazes me how often that a customer will come up and argue why we can not sell a blatantly seven or eight year old kid an eighteen-rated game. Join me in this article as I muse on the continuous battle between retailers and inattentive parents.

TheSpeedGamers Community Game Of The Year 2011

I WANT YOU to help start a new tradition on TSG, TheSpeedGamers Community Game of The Year 2011!

The way it works is that you choose ten games that came out between the 1st of January to the 31st of December, rank them, and send them to me in private message on the forums – this will have to be done in private for the reveal to be a surprise, so if not sent privately, it will not be accepted. You don’t have to make a full ten, so don’t stress about thinking of ten, ten is just the maximum that will be taken

The cut off date will be on Sunday, December 11th at 8am GMT, 3am EST, 12am PST and whatever timezone remains. Best of luck!
