I Am Alive E3 2010 Trailer

Did you know Ubisoft’s I Am Alive had an E3 2010 Trailer? I didn’t. Honestly, it didn’t show much either. After the jump, you can find the new trailer. The only real difference with this trailer is that it uses the in-game engine and that the main character is absent.

Hopefully the title builds up some sort of steam before its release…if it releases. Because right now, I don’t think there is much interest from gamers.

Resident Evil: Revelations Trailer (Update)

The Nintendo 3DS title, Resident Evil: Revelations, is a week late, but it finally got its very own trailer. Unfortunately, it is all CG, but it reveals the first few tidbits about the story.

I’m not sure what to make of it right now, but it looks like it might have something to do with a double of Chris.

You can check out the trailer after the jump.

Update: Capcom claims that these visuals are in-game visuals. I’m quite surprised.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded Off-Screen E3 Trailer

Square-Enix hasn’t released a direct-feed trailer of the Nintendo DS title Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, but they were apparently showing one off at their booth. Thankfully some one has grabbed the footage, and hopefully Square-Enix won’t take it down.

Despite previously being a mobile phone game, it looks like your standard Kingdom Hearts game. It probably uses the same engine that 358/2 days used.

You can check out the trailer plus a few screenshots after the jump.

Multiplatform and PC E3 2010 Trailer Dump

Mulitplatform gaming! It is exciting, because there is something for everyone here. As games become more expensive to produce, multiplatform games are becoming more and more common, especially in the realm of the PC, 360, and PS3.  You will see that combination a lot throughout, but there are a few Wii, DS, and PSP titles hidden throughout. No 3DS though. :<

Xbox 360 E3 2010 Trailer Dump

While there was a new Xbox 360 redesign, there are quite a few handful of good Xbox 360 exclusives shown as well. Unfortunately with the nature of the home console market today, most 360 games are multiplatform. So while this list is sort of small, there are tons of Xbox 360 titles in the multiplatform section.

Nintendo 3DS Games List and Media

While Nintendo’s press conference detailed a few 3DS titles, most went unmentioned during the conference.  After the jump, you can find the full list of Nintendo 3DS titles that Nintendo has put together. You can also find quite a few screenshots from a handful of spot light titles like Animal Crossing, Resident Evil, Star Fox, and more.

I have a hunch that some of these titles are simply tech demos, or playing with the platform. For example, not sure if Konami is actually going to port Metal Gear Solid 3 to the platform, especially with “The Naked Sample” sub name. But at the very least, we get a nice look at the capabilities of the platform, aside from just the Kid Icarus footage shown at the confrence.

After the jump, you can also check out 3 different 3DS colors.

Sony Press Conference

Sony’s conference was oddly paced, but they started off with 3D. Announcing that they will have 20 3D enabled titles by march 2011.

After the cavalcade of 3D gaming info they dove straight into their premiere 3D title, Killzone 3. The demo included the same great shooting experienced in Killzone 2 and also went into the newest addition which is the jetpack. The jetpack changes the gameplay considerably making most cover use obsolete and causing the game to become a whole lot more offensively based.

The game is set to release frebuary 2011.

It will also come fully compatible with the Sony Move controller.

Motor Storm Apocolypse, Sly collection, GT5 all in 3D. Crysis 2, Mortal Kombat, ShaunWhite Skateboarding, Tron, NBA 2K11 will all be in 3D as well.

Next they started naming off Move games that will also be 3D. They named Eyepet, Tumble (appears to be similar to Boom Blox), The Fight and MLB 10 The Show.

Next they started to show off using The Move to play some games. The first game designed from the ground up for The Move was Sorcery. Sorcery is an action adventure game where you play a sorcerer. You have a group of spells and potions with all kinds of effect that you can use differently based on the ways you use the Move wand. They also showed to drink a potion you have to shake it and act as if you are drinking it. The game seemed interesting and could be a genuinely fun game.

The next game they demoed was the Move control for Tiger Woods. Very similar to other motion controlled golf games, but more accurate looking with better 1 to 1 motion.

They then showed a 3rd game without demoing it. It’s a crossover of 2 worlds that is played using the Move. It’s a platformer and it includes Ratchet, Clank, Sly, Bently, Jak, and Daxters. The worlds looked like a combination of all three.

They then announced the very reasonable prices for the move. The wand alone cost’s 50 US, The Bundle Including Sports Champions, the wand, and the camera is 100 US. The full console bundle is 400 us. It will be available in Europe on the 15th and the US on the 19th.

They showed a montage that included the following. Fight,  Sports champion. Start the Party.  Singstar dance. Eyepet. TV superstars, SOCOM 4. Time crisis. The Shoot. RE5, Aragorns quest. Tron. Sorcery.

There was the announcment that the kid from Rolemodels is the new PSP spokesperson.

They showed several party sort of games both topdown and sidescrolling. They eventually showed a reel of all kinds of games such as an RTS and a top down racer.

They then officially announced the details of their for pay service. Most of the additions are early demos, beta access, and free downloadable games.

It cost’s 17.99 for 3 months and 49.99 for a full year. They are offering a free three months as well. As far as the free games go you only own them for the duration of your subscription.

EA announced exclusive special edition of Medal of Honor and Dead Space 2.

The Dead Space 2 version includes the Move enabled version of Extraction and the Medal of Honor version includes a remastered Medal of Honor: Frontlines.

The Portal suprise is that it will be available on the PS3 with some steam features like steam cloud also available on that version.

2K games Mafia 2 will have exclusive PS3 missions as will Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.

Gran Turismo 5 trailer and it will be available November 2 2010.

The infamous 2 trailer shows a militia like group as well as monsters and ice powers. It seems to take place in a New Orleans esque area.

They finished off with a huge suprise. The reboot of Twisted Metal being headed by the series creator David Jaffe. It looks insane and they have added air combat as well as an objective based mode with factions. Cars do not seem like they are attached to a specific person all the time because in some modes you can be one persona and drive any car.

The objective mode they showed was called Nuke and requires you to capture the opposing leader and sacrifice them in order to earn a middle that you have to try and get to ram into a giant statue while avoiding bullets. Once you hit the opposing statue 3 times you can destroy it for good.

Nintendo Press Conference

They start the conference with The Legend of Zelda: The Skyward Sword which won’t be available for anther year and feature full control of the sword using Wii-Motion plus. The game uses alot of the gameplay featured in Wii-Sports Resort. They showed that there are specifically designed enemies that require you to think about how you slice and they have also returned the sword laser where you can hold the sword in the sky to charge shots. The graphics seem like a combination of Windwaker with adult link. They have a new radial menu for items.

Next they dove into Mario Sports Mix which includes Volleyball, Hockey, Basketball, and Dodgeball.

Next they showed some more of the next in the Wii prefixed series Wii Party. It includes a Mario Party style board game and all kinds of other minigames. They said over 70.

Next they talked about Just Dance 2 from Ubisoft and this is the end of their casual focus.

They then dove straight into Golden Sun: Dark Dawn for DS which will feature Turnbased battles and stylus based puzzles.

Next they showed Epic Mickey which looks much better then the screenshots they released earlier. The game features quest areas, action areas, and sidescrolling levels based on old cartoons.

Brand new sidescrolling kirby game that looks like it’s knitted out of yarn. Kirby has a whip he can use to swing and pull things and he also can change into all kinds of things. Not just a costume but more like Yoshi in Yoshi’s island.

They showed a new trailer for Metroid: Other M and continue to insure that it will no lose the isolation.

Next they showed that Retro Studio is working on Donkey Kong Country Returns which is a new sidescrolling game with everything you loved from the old games.

Next they showed the 3DS which has an analog slide pad and a widescreen on top. The 3D can be turned off and is on the top screen. Graphics almost look better then the Wii.  KId Icarus game finally announced for 3DS and the graphics are incredible. Looks to be a fast paced action game with air and ground stages.

They finished up with a big list of 3rd parties making games and the announcement of Nintendogs + Cats for the 3DS. They had playable Zelda and 3DS in the conference room. Among the 3rd parties was Konami with Metal Gear Solid, Capcom with Resident Evil, and Square with Kingdom Hearts.
