In a news item that would interest some of our UK readers, the release date for Xenoblade Chronicles for Europe has been moved forward from September 2nd to August 19th (One day after my Birthday… Joy). For any Europeans or potential importers, a Special Edition of the game is also available for pre order. The Special Edition contains a red Classic Controller Pro (as with the Special Edition of Monster Hunter Tri) as well as three exclusive posters signed by Tetsuya Takahashi (the head of Monolith Software). Along with it’s uniquely British voice-acting (Which the gaming industry could use more of rather than hiring Nolan North for everything), humongous landscapes and unique gameplay, Xenoblade Chronicles ranks up with The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower as some of the best Wii games for gamers to look forward to during 2011.
In a message on Nintendo’s European website, they confirmed that the recently announced Mario Kart Wii pack and Nintendo Select line would be arriving in Europe on May 20th. As far as the bundle packs go, the Mario Kart bundle pack will contain; A white Wii console, A Wii Remote Plus, Nunchuck, Wii Wheel and a copy of Mario Kart Wii. As an additional item of interest, Nintendo also confirmed that the price of their Wii Sports Resort bundle featuring a black Wii console instead of a white version and a Wii Sports/Wii Sports Resort double pack instead of Mario Kart Wii will be recieving a price drop (The price drop remains unknown at this point in time). So far five games have been confirmed for the Wii Select line; Wii Sports, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Mario Strikers Charged Football and Animal Crossing: Let’s go to the City! No dates have been confirmed for the US release yet however considering Nintendo’s current release strategy, more news should come out soon regarding the US release.
