Avenging Spirit Review

Software isn’t exactly something 3DS is being overrun with at this point. With only a handful of titles left for the rest of this year, 3DS owners are looking for content to keep themselves busy. To a certain extent, we can turn to the eShop to pick up old experiences from Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and DSiWare that we may have missed. One of the most recent additions is Avenging Spirit, a port of a 1991 arcade game for the original Gameboy. Does the title still holds its own today, or is it something that should have been left in Jaleco’s vault?

Classic Pokemon Intro Ruined

Ready to have your childhood memories torn apart bit by bit thanks to my beautiful voice? Pokemon Red intro ruined! It sort of bleeds over into Pokemon Blue as well, but whatever.


More important than my beautiful voice, you should tune to our Classic Pokemon Marathon on March 11th through the 14th! Catch’n ’em all up to 251 using Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver and Gold for The Als Association!

Don’t worry. I won’t be singing during the marathon.

3DS Promises GameBoy & GameBoy Color Titles on Virtual Console

Super Mario Land anyone?

Nintendo has announced that there will be a number of Gameboy and Gameboy Color titles available for 3DS Virtual Console at launch.  So far, Super Mario Land is the only one confirmed, but we will hear more about prices and game titles as they become available.

I’m just thinking…  I could have all Pokemon Games on one handheld console.  OH PLEASE SANTA NINTENDO.  WE HAVE ALL BEEN VERY GOOD BOYS AND GIRLS.
