Space Channel Part 2 and Bass Fishing Heading to XBLA and PSN

Sonic Adventure hit XBLA and PSN awhile back ago. We’re still waiting on Crazy Taxi, but SEGA has announced that both Space Channel 5 Part 2 and SEGA Bass Fishing will be heading to both services in early 2011.

I don’t know anything about SEGA Bass Fishing, so I can’t say much about it. But for those looking forward to the release of the title, congratulations! Space Channel 5, on the other hand, I know plenty about! Dancing off against aliens to save the galaxy is my kind of thing. Oddly enough the sequel, Space Channel 5 Part 2, is going up instead of the original … not sure what’s up with that.

Both of those are fine and dandy if you have  PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. But what if you only have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch? Unfortunately, these titles won’t be hitting these platforms. But, you can still get on some Dreamcast gaming goodness! The classic puzzle game Chu Chu Rocket is set to hit soon for both North America and Europe!

Hooray, Dreamcast! The more people who get to play your games the better.

Wut U Talkin Bout? Blue Stinger

Wut U Talkin Bout is a quick look at overlooked titles in gaming history, or a overlooked entry in a franchise.

When talking about a good game, often you hear about how responsive the controls are, how impressive the level design is, how they tightened up the graphics on level 3, etc. These games provide  an excellent well polished gaming experience that usually can be enjoyed by many. Nowadays, these well polished games are a dime a dozen. But sometimes there are games that come along that have poor controls, visuals, and level design, but can be just as fun and enjoyable, or even more so, then most AAA titles out there. Blue Stinger is the first game that come to my mind when thinking about such a title.

Rumor: Sonic Adventure heading to XBLA

A small Dutch SEGA fan site recently got a anonymous tip which told them Sonic Adventure was heading to X-box Live Arcade. To back it up a image was sent to them as well, which can be seen after the jump. The image shows listings for the demo, the full game, and a “Extend Package” for the title.

SEGA of Europe quickly swatted it down though with the website deleting the article leaving behind “This message has been deleted on request of SEGA Europe.

We also know that SEGA was talking to Sony about bringing back Dreamcast classics to the PSN service while also offering them a choice of exclusive titles. This would suggest they would be talking to Microsoft about bringing Dreamcast titles over as well.

Happy 10th anniversary Dreamcast!! Britt's Top 5 Dc titles

Ten years ago today, 9/9/99, was the release of the Sega Dreamcast. It’s sad to of seen it fall so quickly, it’s one of the most innovative consoles to ever hit the market.  Once the ps2 launched in 2000, the Dreamcast declined and Sega pulled the plug. The Dreamcast was still being sold in Japan up until 2006, and a strong homebrew community still exists today.

Here’s a list of my 5 favorite Dreamcast games:
