Because Nintendo Download in Europe and the US PSN update fall in TGS and are on the same day, I’m just gonna bundle these together.

European Wii Owners can now get their hands on the second chapter of Tales of  Moneky Island(1000 points) this week, You, Me, and the Cubes (1000 points) and long awaited Sexy Poker (500 points) . If that isn’t enough for you though, Virtual Console now has R-Type (500 points) for the Sega Master System DSi owners get Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam this week.

North American PS3 owners get Zombie Apocalypse and the Command and Conquer red alert 3 pack that hit Europe not too long ago. There’s a pretty good line up of demos which include the Ninja Gaiden 2 demo and the  Lost planet 2 Co-Op Demo. Last but not least, the first piece of Fall Out 3 DLC finally hits PS3.

You can check out the entire list of PSN updates over at PlayStation Blog.

Final Fantasy coming to Virtual Console outside of Japan

Japan has been getting the original entries in the Final Fantasy series for the Famicom(NES) on their Virtual Console service the last few months, but North America and Europe have been left in the dark.

But finally the original game that started one of the largest video game franchises and saved an entire company, Final Fantasy, has been confirmed for a North American release on the Virtual Console through a ESRB listing. Hopefully this leads to the European release some time soon as well.

To my knowledge this is the first time the game has ever been released on another system in its original form. Gamers who don’t own the original cartridge can finally experience Final Fantasy in all its 8-bit glory all for a mere $5.

Europe's Nintendo Download September 17th

This week Europeans get two great classics on the Virtual Console games,  Super Star Wars for the SNES (800 points) and the Arcade Version(?) of Golden Axe (900 Points). WiiWare gets magnetis (500 points) and a edutainment game, Learning with PooYoos Episode 1 (500 points).  Last but not least DSiWare gets MySims Camera(200points).

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been waiting for Learning with PooYoos all week! Hopefully it comes out on the North American update so I can accidentally choose the wrong cloud shape and watch the PooYoo fall from 6,500 feet in the sky.

Nintendo of Europe's Connection Ambassador Promotion

To encourage more Wii users to take advantage of their online services, Nintendo of Europe will be launching their “Connection Ambassador Promotion”. This new plan lets currently connected Wii owners get free Wii Points by helping other Wii users connect their systems to the internet.

For every one person you help connect you get a free 500 points along with the person you help connect gets 500 points too. If you help ten people connect you get a gold status which allows you to download all first party NES titles for free. If you help connect 20 people then you get a platinum status which will let you have access to all first and third party games for NES, SNES and the N64. The service starts this October.

It is a nice deal, but do you know twenty people who don’t have their Wii’s connected to the internet?
